QQL is an experiment in turning the minter into the curator. We invited some of our favourite generative artists to curate a piece based on how they see the algorithm.

QQL is generative artist Tyler Hobbs’ follow-up to his highly influential Art Blocks project Fidenza.
Dutch auction for the limited 999 mint run landed at 14 ETH ($18K USD) for those with a small stack of crypto and luck enough to win the bidding for the coveted, user-curated 1 of 1s. Only 85 QQL mint passes were used on day one suggesting collectors are indecisive with the endless outputs and potentially holding out hoping the floor of the passes will rise with the price of the minted 1 of 1 piece. As of May 20th, you can still grab a pass for 4.45 ETH ($8125). You also can still experiment with the algorithm and see what you are able to create. Last time someone turned a $1200 Fidenza mint into a $3.3 million dollar sale. One of Hobbs’ major collectors is Three Arrow Capital 3AC, you can see the current pieces in its collection here.
Fidenza #725 sells for $1,016,000 at Sothebys in May of 2023.
Fidenza is by far my most versatile algorithm to date. Although the program stays focused on structured curves and blocks, the varieties of scale, organization, texture, and colour usage it can employ create a wide array of generative possibilities
